The outdoor opportunities in Colorado are amazing. We are so lucky to live near the so many open space parks that provide a great day of challenging hiking. Our last adventure was to the Caribou Ranch Open Space West of Boulder Colorado.

You may recognize the name from the recording studio that is still near the open space where Sting, Elton John, and U2 (among others) have recorded. The studio is still there but is on private land. However the scenic part of the ranch is now open to the public.

The trail is on an old railroad grade that used to bring tourists up to the ranch and the mine on the property. While the railroad isn't present, it now provides a nice easy path for hiking and snowshoeing. The ranch is about an hour from Loveland, so it's an easy drive for an awesome view.

We hope you enjoy the pictures.
